A man intervened after a youth was reportedly assaulted in East Kilbride.
Police are now investigating the assault which happened in the Glen Cannich area of the town at 8pm on Wednesday, April 24.
They received a report of the crime the following Monday on April 29.
The victim wasn't injured.

There were no details about the circumstances leading up to the assault provided by police nor have they revealed the age of the victim, only referring to her as a female youth.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "It is understood that a male member of the public intervened and officers are appealing for him or anyone with further information to come forward."
Constable Andrew McLeod, from East Kilbride Police Station, said: “If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0792 of 29 April, 2024.”
