A popular Glaswegian author will launch his latest novel during an exclusive event at August House in the city.
Chris Brookmyre's book The Cracked Mirror will be launched during a Bookface Sip & Swap event at the cocktail bar on July 27 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Celebrating his 25-year career, guests will have the chance to meet him and enjoy a 45-minute interview with the author.
Mr Brookmyre said: “Bookface Sip & Swaps have rapidly become one of my favourite events on the promotional calendar.
"It’s a privilege to spend time in a lively and convivial atmosphere, chatting to dozens of people united by their passion for books.”
The Cracked Mirror, described as Agatha Christie meets Michael Connelly, blends mystery and crime in a thrilling tale.
Readers will meet characters such as Penny Coyne, a sharp-minded old lady solving murders in her peaceful village, and Johnny Hawke, an LAPD homicide detective whose pursuit of truth often collides with his superiors.
The £20 tickets, available on Eventbrite, come with two complimentary drinks.
The Cracked Mirror is out on July 15 in hardback and published by Abacus for £22.
